About Unlost Wandering
Built by someone who actually lives on the road.
RV life offers freedom, but also practical challenges. Finding water, a dump station, the right campground, or reliable information should not require a dozen websites and a gamble.
The goal is simple: practical help for people who choose to keep moving.
Why this exists
Independence works better with good information.
I’m Shane Moates. I live full-time in a travel trailer with my pit bull, Journey, while boondocking and working toward a more self-reliant life.
Unlost Wandering grows from that firsthand experience: route decisions, campground realities, resource searches, changing plans, and the systems that make this life workable.
This is a MoatesArte Systems project, built with the same preference for useful tools and honest constraints.
About MoatesArte SystemsBusiness experience meets guest experience
Both sides of the campground decision.
Before living full-time on the road, I ran a retail business for 15 years. That experience taught me the operational side of serving customers: clear information, workable systems, practical technology, and the difference between something that looks good and something a business can actually use.
Full-time RV life adds the guest’s perspective—what travelers need before booking, what creates confusion on arrival, and which missing details can turn a promising stay into unnecessary frustration.
Unlost Wandering brings those two perspectives together for RV travelers and outdoor-hospitality businesses.
